We have a strong commitment to conservation and are very proud to be members of the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society. We are also humbled to have our owner, Frank Burges, recognized for Leadership in Conservation as the Volunteer of the Year.
A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNER
To start, I’d like to thank you for visiting our page!
My name is Frank Burgess and I have been fishing for Sturgeon on the Fraser River since I was 15 years old. It all started when my friends and I saved up enough money for our first fishing trip, and since that day, I have been hooked!
From then on, I spent all my spare change on tackle and bait. It turned into a daily occurrence that I’d be spending my evenings, on the wharf, catching these sturgeons. Within 2 years, I was able to buy my first jet boat, and that’s when I began learning all there is to know about Sturgeon Fishing!
I have been Sturgeon Fishing now since 2010 and a professional guide since 2016. To be able to enjoy what I do on a daily basis and share the amazing experience of Sturgeon Fishing on the Fraser River with others makes it all worth it.
The goal is for each and every client to get as ‘hooked’ into sturgeon fishing as I did.

When sturgeon fishing, it’s essential to use fresh bait such as salmon roe, lamprey, or eel, which are particularly effective in attracting these prehistoric giants. Target deep river channels and bends where sturgeon often feed and rest, as these areas provide the best chances for a successful catch. Patience is crucial, as sturgeon are known for their powerful and prolonged fights, requiring sturdy tackle and gear to handle their immense size and strength. Ensure your equipment is up to the challenge, and be prepared for an exhilarating battle with one of North America’s most formidable freshwater fish.
